| I worked
for my ex-employer for 27 years. I didn't miss a single day other than
vacations, holidays and personal days that they gave me. I worked around
sick kids, absent co-workers, basically did everything I could to be a
model, exceptional employee. When I
started there, the bank operated in only one state. Later, they merged
with another bank and became a regional player. They later merged with
another regional bank and became a national bank presence. With the last
merger, they've become a "global" corporation.
Even though they granted them their independence
years ago, the Brits still have close ties with their former colony.
My home city has become quite insignificant in
the whole scheme of things globally. There is only one Fortune 100
corporate headquarters here now.

It's been a little discouraging looking for a
new job. Despite numerous interviews, the closest offer I've received is
only 60% of what I was making after 27 years. It's also hard to accept
one week of vacation when you'd climbed the ladder and with tenure
accumulated five weeks of vacation a year.
I could have relocated and taken a similar
position, but am not in a position to do so with my relatives' poor
health. I'm also do not have any desire to relocate to the Indian
subcontinent. I accepted their "displacement package", but it's gonna
run out soon, so I've come up with a new plan.
Please explore this site, and I'd appreciate you
clicking on every ad you see on my pages. You'll be helping me feed my
family, and sticking it to the Indian lady who answers the telephone
when you call my ex-employer's customer support line : )
